Don't store your files on your Desktop!

Pretty crowded desktop, no? Does this look like your computer?  There is a natural tendency to store files and downloaded programs directly to your desktop, but you really shouldn't do it. Here's a great article from Make Use Of's blog that gives you all the reasons. My recommendation, the only thing on your desktop should be links to Windows functions, Folders, and links to most used programs. Note that I'm using the word, "links". There is a big difference between a link or shortcut and the actual program or file it represents.  Read on:
